Ryan Siebert

Director of Bands

Ryan Siebert graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2017 and began teaching at Okarche Public Schools. While teaching at Okarche Public Schools Mr. Siebert was tasked with starting the band and music programs. Mr. Siebert was hired as the Assistant Director of Bands at Newcastle Public Schools in 2020, and was later hired as the Director of Bands at the start of the 2022-2023 school year.

Whitney Callen

Assistant Director of Bands

Ms. Callen is a clarinet player, graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in December 2020 with her bachelor's in music education, and is currently finishing her master's degree from SWOSU this summer. Ms. Callen just finished her first year of teaching at Deer Creek Public Schools in Edmond where she served as Assistant Band Director, leading the middle school program, working with the marching band, high school woodwinds, and taught beginning clarinet classes. Ms. Callen was hired as the Assistant Director of Bands in 2023. 

Emily Perkins

Color Guard/Winter Guard Coach

Ms. Perkins is currently pursuing her graduate degree in regional and city planning at the University of Oklahoma and holds a degree in environmental design with a minor in art. She is also serving in her final year as the Pride of Oklahoma feature twirler, which has provided extensive experience in dance choreography, baton, and color guard. 

About Our Band

The Newcastle Racer Band is a growing program that has seen increasing success in recent years. Newcastle Bands consists of three performance groups including the High School Racer Band, 7th and 8th Grade Band, and 6th Grade Beginning Band. Newcastle Bands is incredibly grateful to the community of Newcastle for passing the 2022 Bond that allows for the construction of a new band room to be located on the West side of the high school auditorium as well as the purchase of new uniforms for marching band.
